Lucia, Lucia is such a wonderful book. Adriana Trigiani has captured the romance of New York City in the early 50s. She has also created a beautiful, complicated heroine who is forced to decide between her family and the traditions that they hold dear, and a future where her creativity and dreams can find expression. Lucia makes her decisions, and we may not feel good about all of them, but her choices are made honestly and with her heart. Trigiani has created a sympathetic portrait of a young women at the crossroads of her life, and even though we see her from fifty years in the future, we feel for her and we understand her.
I love all of the great New York history in this book. Linda Fairstein always provides interesting insights into New York and its famous people and places. The New York Public Library is a magical place in Lethal Legacy!
