Middle Country Public Library would love to hear any suggestions you might have for future books that would be good for Middle Country Reads! Please include the title, author and a blurb about why you think this would be a good book for Middle Country Reads.
I think that The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs would be a great selection for Middle Country Reads. It is a wonderful story about making it on your own and a sense of community bringing people together, who would have otherwise never become friends. And there are recipes and knitting projects in each of Jacobs’ books, which would make great themes for programs.
‘Bastard out of Carolina’ by Dorothy Allison because it has important themes of strengh in the face of adversity regarding child abuse for teens as well as adults.
This book was very moving and emotional. It is definitely a book that would inspire many conversations among people who have read it. Thanks for the suggestion!
